About Me.

Jeanette “Nette” Lovett

Travel Blogger

Greetings Love!!! First and far most, thank you for thinking it not robbery to experience Sugar Water Rowe. I am many things – a Country Girl, thrill seeker, explorer, and much much more. Most importantly, I am the proud daughter of amazing parents and late grandparents. No matter where I go in life, my village reminds me, that “all roads lead home,”

Born and raised in rural Georgia, I’ve always loved traveling. I can recall my siblings and I pulling out the road map to highlight routes the night before our road trips. With those same road maps, I’d steal away and get lost reading about different states flowers, national parks, and highways. I would think about being able to travel to the unknown. Oh baby, the time is nigh.

From taking my first international trip to The Bahamas with my Senior High School class in 2008 to now preparing to celebrate my 33rd birthday in Greece, my life has become engulfed in travels, experiences, and being me. I do not discriminate between domestic and international trips, I count it all joy! So come along with me; let’s lay down our sword and shield by the riverside and live in the current moment. My life is sweet as sugar water on a hot steamy Georgia summer day.

Five Questions About Jeanette:

What is your favorite hobby? Aside from exploring different cultures (traveling), I enjoy shopping, attending concerts and festivals, painting and/or creative projects are at the top of the list, and having experiences such as riding a bamboo raft in Jamaica or driving to West Cuba to experience el 26 de Julio.

Have you traveled outside of the United Stated before? Yes, as of 2022 I have traveled to the following Countries: Jamaica, Cuba, Bahamas, St. Lucia, Mexico, The Netherlands, Turkey, and Ghana.

What is your favorite sport(s)? I will watch almost any sport if I am watching it in person. Basketball and tennis are my favorite sports.

What’s The Most Beautiful Place(s) You’ve Ever Seen? This is a challenge. In no particular order here are some of the top for me: the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul, Turkey; an unobstructed 360 degree rooftop view of Havana, Cuba; Tagbo Falls in Ghana; Elmina Castle, in Cape Coast, Ghana; and my childhood.

How is my memory these days? What memory? Lol! I am at a place where I want to share my memories and future with others, because I have seen so much. Now I find myself being the person in conversations flipping through my rolodex of memories to remember a story someone is referencing. Only if I had a place to upload and store some of these memories!
